Katherine Heigl discusses her experiences in a 'white bubble' affected the way she parented her adopted multiracial family. Katherine Heigl, the "Firefly Lane" and "Grey's Anatomy" actress revealed in a recent interview she was told that when it came to the color of her skin, she didn't care the way she looked however, after speaking to her older sister, who was adopted from South Korea, she realized how differently society viewed each of them. "I asked Meg how she was treated differently when she went out with our parents and the times she was out alone. She replied: 'Oh yeah, all the times! This made me realize I had been so naive," Heigl said to Parents. She admitted to becoming angry but felt she needed to channel her anger to aid adopt her daughters. Heigl is with Josh Kelley for 13 years they have a son Joshua Bishop Kelley Jr. In 2009, they welcomed Nancy Leigh (12), an adopted daughter of South Korea, and Adalaide (8, a black child) in the year 2012.
