The following weeks, students all around participated in Thunberg's #FridaysforFuture protests. Students skipped Friday classes to protest global warming. Global climate activists joined forces in 2019 to coordinate their efforts to coordinate the Global Strike for Climate. It was a massive success and more than 1.6 million people across more than 125 nations took part.
