April Lockhart

April Lockhart is a born July 4, 1995. In the seventh grade, she started taking piano and guitar lessons. That ignited her enthusiasm to write songs. In April, when she was 12 years old, she composed her first single, Different. At the age of 14, April was devoted for a long period of time in writing song ideas and practicing her music. In the following years, she took writing excursions together with her dad in LA in addition to NY. The month also saw her include additional topics that were related to of her classmates who struggle with such things as social pressure and teens who commit suicide through the songs"Take my Hand. Lockhart also enjoys an increasing following as a lifestyle influencer and works for popular clean beauty company Ilia. Lockhart was never born with a left hand, and that is what makes her what she is. However, that's not the whole story. Lockhart acknowledges her handicap in her posts on Instagram, however she isn't making it the focal point of the post. What's the message? This is the message that we all share multiple identities and are way more diverse than we think we're. Lockhart through a video message sent from her Nashville home, says that I don't wish for that to be a part of myself. I'm more than my physical self. The issue doesn't affect my everyday activities. I conduct doing my job as normal and have developed my own ways to adapt. But it's also a part of me and I feel that it's crucial to speak about. Lockhart has served as an excellent example to other women with regards to self-acceptance. However, she acknowledges going through phases of her body, at times, not being confident in wearing certain types of clothing that showed how much of her body. She wears what she likes and posts photos of herself dressed in outfits she chooses on social media. Self-love, she says, is a kind of journey. "I do not think that you will ever be there," she said. It's the same for everybody regardless of their insecurity. The people you surround yourself with that truly understand you, and can see through your eyes are the ones you should be relying on to remind you of what you're worrying about.
